SCArchitect, Inc. accomplishes this goal by making quality service a priority.  The firm has successfully completed a wide range of projects, having completed designs for schools, health care facilities, civic buildings, commercial facilities and residential.  In each project the client becomes an integral part of the planning team.  This personal, analytical approach assures consideration of both aesthetic and economic concerns in designing for the client's needs.

Founded in 1953 by Robert F. Stuhr, AIA, the firm has completed over 1000 projects.  Since 1994, SCArchitect, Inc., under the management of Stephen J. Corbin, NCARB, AIA, LEED^® -AP has continued to serve the communities of California in the southern San Joaquin Valley and the Central Coast and has successfully completed over 80 educational facility projects.  Those projects include high schools, junior high schools, elementary schools, modernizations and deferred maintenance projects.

SCArchitect, Inc., maintains a complement of dedicated professional personnel that are well trained in all phases of architecture to meet the demands of institutional and private projects.   Our staff strives to create architecture by harmonizing and balancing our clients' needs by combining aesthetics, form and function while remaining concerned with the long term economy of the building projects that we design.

Because the majority of our clients are institutions, which routinely occupy their buildings for more than fifty years, our process in designing these buildings is much different than that used by other architects, who design for "build for sale" developers.

We strive to use all of the resources available to ensure that your building is functional and economical over the long term.  We have found that some of the best information that we receive is from your maintenance and operations personnel.  Who, if not your own staff, will know what works best for your methods of operation?  We propose to capture and utilize this valuable input from your staff to incorporate into your new facilities.
